Hello, and welcome to the website! The purpose of this page is to give you a realistic idea of what these products are actually worth (depending on their condition), what they’ve sold for in the past, and what to expect from machines of this age.

This guide is not intended to cover prototypes, new-in-box items, or heavily modified / upgraded systems. All prices shown are in US dollars. I understand these machines may be more uncommon in other territories.

Every machine listed here has six different conditions, with the highest price usually displayed on index page. Conditions range from “Parts Only”, to “Good”, to “Awesome”. These conditions take into account any proprietary or required accessories for the system. For example, if a Macintosh Plus is being sold without the unique keyboard, it’s value is lowered considerably.

Specific details and reasoning for each item will be detailed on that item’s page. However, generally speaking, the condition is defined as follows.

A. Awesome – Works perfectly. Has been repaired or recapped. Includes all required accessories. May include extras like documentation, disks, or boxes.

B. Great – Works perfectly, may be partially repaired or recapped. Does not include all accessories.

C. Good – Turns on, chimes, starts up fine. No identifiable issues. Has not been recapped, but no damage is visible.

D. Fair – Turns on, chimes, but has some minor issues. May include leaking capacitors. Assumes components do not have more serious faults.

E. Needs Work – May not turn on, if it does it may not chime. Will not fully startup. May present a Sad Mac error. Has issues such as leaking capacitors, or missing / damaged components. Does not include severe damage. Missing or damaged components are replaceable.

F. Parts Only – Untested or otherwise damaged. May be missing parts, may be incomplete, may have visible damage, cracked cases, missing components, etc. Missing or damaged components are not readily available or easy to source.

Other exciting features, such as adding many more models, adding source of price data, the ability to submit price data, and more are coming soon!

Thanks!

-Steve
