Description

The Macintosh Color Classic is Apple’s first Compact Mac with a color screen. Although color was great, the small 9-inch monitor proved too small for most users. These machines are nice when running, but can be difficult to fix. Both the analog board and logic board will need recapping. You will also need to find suitable VRAM and RAM options that fit the board (and it’s cramped case). Please see the details below for information on pricing. Remember, these are ballpark figures.

Color Classic condition details:
Awesome: Includes all accessories, already recapped and fully functional, may include documentation, disks, etc.

Great: Fully working, already recapped. May require some minor things (hard drive, or memory)

Good: Fully working, may require analog board to be recapped. Logic board is recapped or fully working without leaks. May not include accessories.

Fair: Working, but may have issues (wobbly screen). Will display LED light, may show signs of life.

Needs Work: May turn on (or may fail to stay on.) Will need a logic board or analog board recapped. No LED light present. May experience other issues.

Parts Only: Won’t turn on at all. No image on screen. No logic board activity. No startup chime. No sound. No LED.
